Specializations
I provide counselling services for both adolescents and adults, supporting a wide range of emotional, psychological, and life challenges. My approach is client-centered, practical, and grounded in evidence-based techniques, with a focus on helping you feel understood while building meaningful and lasting change.
Who I Work With
Adolescents
Adolescence is a time of rapid emotional, social, and academic development. Many young people experience stress related to school, relationships, identity, and future expectations. I work with adolescents to strengthen emotional well-being, build confidence, and develop healthy coping skills as they navigate these important years.
Adults
Adult life can bring complex pressures, whether related to career, relationships, or personal expectations. I support adults in managing stress, improving mental well-being, and navigating life transitions, with a focus on creating healthier, more balanced patterns in both personal and professional life.
Areas of Support
Emotional Well-Being & Mental Health
I support individuals experiencing anxiety, depression (including post-partum depression), trauma, grief, and ongoing stress. This also includes burnout, alcohol-related concerns, and managing both emotional and physical pain. Together, we work toward building resilience, stability, and a greater sense of well-being.
Relationships, Family & Parenting
I help clients strengthen relationships through family and couples counselling, improve communication, and navigate conflict more effectively. I also provide support with parenting challenges, helping you build stronger, more connected relationships within your family.
Life Transitions, Career & Education
Periods of change can feel overwhelming and uncertain. I provide guidance for students and adults facing academic pressures, career decisions, post-secondary transitions, and major life changes. The focus is on creating clarity, confidence, and direction during these transitions.
Car Accident Trauma & Recovery
Experiencing a car accident can have lasting emotional and physical effects that go beyond the initial event. You may notice anxiety about driving, nightmares or flashbacks, feelings of guilt, difficulty returning to work, low confidence, increased stress, or ongoing physical pain.
With the right support, these experiences can be processed and reduced over time. Counselling can help you regain confidence, reduce anxiety and panic, improve sleep, and return to daily life with greater ease. We work together to rebuild a sense of safety, strengthen coping strategies, and support both emotional and physical recovery.
I am trained in Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR), a well-researched and effective therapy for trauma and stress-related concerns. EMDR helps the brain process difficult experiences so they become less overwhelming over time and supports long-term healing.
If you are currently involved in an ICBC claim, counselling services may be covered as part of your treatment. You can speak with your doctor, lawyer, or adjuster to explore your options.
Parenting and Family Support
Parenting and family life can be both meaningful and challenging. I work with parents to better understand family dynamics, strengthen communication, and develop effective, supportive parenting approaches.
You are welcome to attend sessions individually, even if your partner or family members are not participating. Individual sessions can still create meaningful and positive changes within relationships and the family system.
Students (High School & Post-Secondary)
Students often face increasing pressure related to academics, performance, and future planning. I support high school and post-secondary students in managing stress, improving study strategies, building confidence, and navigating transitions related to education and career paths.
With over 10 years of experience working with post-secondary students as an instructor, along with certification as a high school teacher in British Columbia, I bring both educational and clinical insight into supporting student success and well-being.
Students may be able to access counselling through their own extended health plans, their parents’ coverage, or through ICBC or Crime Victim Assistance programs, depending on their situation.
