Clinical & Professional Experience
I have worked at All Care medical center (staffed by Family doctors, Internist, Pediatrician, and Gariatrician), treating adults and children who have a variety of issues. Some of which include depression, anxiety, pain, grief, self-esteem, personal growth/life balance, trauma, and communication skills.
Prior to working in the counselling field, I taught Biology labs at Kwantlen Polytechnic University to young adults and teens for over 10 years.
During my counselling training, I spent many hours working with adolescents in a high school with various issues such as stress management, education struggles, career, life, personal growth and self esteem, conflicts, and communication skills.
Areas of Expertise
I support adolescents and adults through life’s challenges with a focus on emotional and mental well-being. My work includes helping clients navigate anxiety, stress, trauma, relationships, and life transitions, including academic and career pressures.
With over 10 years of experience working with post-secondary students and a background in education, I bring a practical, compassionate approach to counselling. I’m trained in evidence-based methods including EMDR, Gottman Method Couples Therapy, and Motivational Interviewing, helping clients build resilience, confidence, and meaningful change in their lives.
Approach
I take a collaborative, client-centered approach to therapy. My focus is to provide a supportive and non-judgmental space where you can better understand what you are going through, build coping skills, and move forward with clarity and confidence.
Therapy is tailored to your individual needs and may include evidence-based approaches such as EMDR for trauma, depending on your goals.
